Invitation Not Received
If someone hasn't received their Mentora invitation email, try these solutions.
Step 1: Check Spam/Junk Folder
Most missing invitations are in the spam folder.
- Go to Spam or Junk folder
- Look for an email from Mentora or
noreply@mentora
- If you find it, mark it as "Not Spam" so future emails go to Inbox
Step 2: Check the Email Address
Make sure the invitation was sent to the right email.
Ask the person:
- "What email address did you give us?"
- "Do you have multiple email addresses?"
- "Is this the email your work uses?"
If the email is wrong:
- Ask them to provide the correct email
- Go to Team Management
- Remove the incorrect invitation (if needed)
- Send a new invitation to the correct email
Step 3: Resend the Invitation
If they never got the first invitation, resend it:
- Go to My Team (or Team Management)
- Find the person's name
- Click Resend Invitation
- They should receive a new email within a few minutes
Step 4: Wait a Few Minutes
Emails sometimes take 5–10 minutes to arrive. Wait and check again.
Step 5: Check Email Filters
Some corporate email systems filter invitations. Ask them to:
- Check their email settings
- Ask their IT department if Mentora emails are being filtered
- Add
noreply@mentora to their safe senders list (if possible)
Still Not Received?
If they've checked spam, waited, and still don't have the email:
- Try sending to a personal email (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) to test
- Ask them to check their email directly on their email provider's website (not just the app)
- Contact support — We can send the invitation manually
Once They Have the Email
The invitation email includes:
- A welcome message
- A link to accept the invitation
- Instructions on how to sign up
They should:
- Click the link in the email
- Create a Mentora account (with Sign Up)
- They'll be automatically added to your workspace
Troubleshooting Signup After Invitation
Issue: They clicked the link but it says "Invalid or expired invite"
Solution:
- Ask them to resend the email through My Team → Resend Invitation
- Use the new link
- Invitations are valid for 7 days, so resend if it's been longer
Issue: They signed up but aren't showing up on your team
Solution:
- Refresh your browser (F5)
- Check that you're looking at the right workspace/team
- Ask them to confirm their email is correct
- Try inviting them again with the correct email
Bulk Invitations
If you're inviting 20+ people:
- Try inviting them one at a time first (to test the process)
- Use CSV import (see Team Management) if available
- Contact support — We may be able to send bulk invitations
