Data Not Saving
If your changes aren't saving in Mentora, try these solutions.
Quick Fixes
Step 1: Refresh the page
- Press F5 (Windows) or Cmd+R (Mac)
- Check if your changes appear
Step 2: Check your internet connection
- Is your WiFi or mobile data connected?
- Try opening a different website to confirm you're online
- If connection is poor, wait for it to improve and try again
Step 3: Log out and log back in
- Click your profile icon
- Click Log Out
- Log back in
- Try your action again
Step 4: Try a different browser
- Switch to Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge
- Sometimes browser extensions interfere with saving
Specific Scenarios
Changes don't appear after you click Save
What might be happening:
- Network connection dropped
- Browser tab lost focus
- Form validation failed (you may see an error message)
Solutions:
- Refresh the page (F5)
- Check for error messages on the form
- Try entering the data again
- Make sure all required fields are filled
Comments aren't posting
What might be happening:
- Comment is too long (over character limit)
- Network issue
- Browser issue
Solutions:
- Shorten your comment
- Check your internet connection
- Try posting again
- Try a different browser
Goal status won't change
What might be happening:
- Insufficient permissions (you can't change someone else's goal status)
- Network issue
- Browser cache
Solutions:
- Make sure you're changing your own goal (not someone else's)
- Check your permissions (should be Employee or higher)
- Refresh the page and try again
- Clear browser cache: Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+Delete (Mac)
Milestone or task dates won't update
What might be happening:
- Date format is wrong
- Network issue
- Browser issue
Solutions:
- Make sure dates are in the format shown (usually MM/DD/YYYY)
- Check your internet connection
- Refresh the page
- Try a different browser
Browser Cache Issues
If data isn't saving or appearing:
Clear your browser cache
- Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+Delete, select "All time", check "Cookies and other site data", click Clear
- Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+Delete, select "Everything", check "Cookies" and "Cache", click Clear
- Safari: Cmd+Y, click "Clear History", select "All history", click "Clear History"
Clear Mentora cookies
- Open Developer Tools (F12)
- Go to Storage/Cookies
- Find getmentora.app and delete all cookies
Close and reopen your browser
- Completely close the browser (all tabs)
- Reopen it
- Log back in to Mentora
If Nothing Works
Before contacting support, try:
- Wait a few hours — Sometimes there are temporary issues
- Try a completely different device — Phone, tablet, or different computer
- Try at a different time — Network or server issues may be temporary
Then contact support with:
- What you were trying to do
- What happened (or didn't happen)
- Which browser and device you're using
- Your email address
- Approximate time this happened
