Data Not Saving

If your changes aren't saving in Mentora, try these solutions.


Quick Fixes

Step 1: Refresh the page

Step 2: Check your internet connection

Step 3: Log out and log back in

  1. Click your profile icon
  2. Click Log Out
  3. Log back in
  4. Try your action again

Specific Scenarios

Changes don't appear after you click Save

What might be happening:

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page (F5)
  2. Check for error messages on the form
  3. Try entering the data again
  4. Make sure all required fields are filled

Comments aren't posting

What might be happening:

Solutions:

  1. Shorten your comment
  2. Check your internet connection
  3. Try posting again
  4. Try a different browser

Goal status won't change

What might be happening:

Solutions:

  1. Make sure you're changing your own goal (not someone else's)
  2. Check your permissions (should be Employee or higher)
  3. Refresh the page and try again
  4. Clear browser cache: Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+Delete (Mac)

Milestone or task dates won't update

What might be happening:

Solutions:

  1. Make sure dates are in the format shown (usually MM/DD/YYYY)
  2. Check your internet connection
  3. Refresh the page
  4. Try a different browser

Browser Cache Issues

If data isn't saving or appearing:

  1. Clear your browser cache

    • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+Delete, select "All time", check "Cookies and other site data", click Clear
    • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+Delete, select "Everything", check "Cookies" and "Cache", click Clear
    • Safari: Cmd+Y, click "Clear History", select "All history", click "Clear History"
  2. Clear Mentora cookies

    • Open Developer Tools (F12)
    • Go to Storage/Cookies
    • Find getmentora.app and delete all cookies
  3. Close and reopen your browser

    • Completely close the browser (all tabs)
    • Reopen it
    • Log back in to Mentora

If Nothing Works

  1. Wait a few hours — Sometimes there are temporary issues
  2. Try a completely different device — Phone, tablet, or different computer
  3. Try at a different time — Network or server issues may be temporary
